  About Studio Hop     My work continues to explore fiber mediums including western papermaking, surface design on cloth & contemporary quilting. I have recently revisited portrait drawing & computer images as a result of my teaching, then combining those into quilting and printmaking and collage. Color, craftsmanship, and a variety of cultural influences are strong components of my art and life.

As a teacher and co-founder of DEMO inc I live the creative process. Working with teens in both venues, I problem solve to help kids find value in themselves in the classroom and when working side by side in and on the studios at DEMO. My work as a teacher, designer & construction worker at DEMO are influential in my art. Construction of structures to display work comes from skills developed in book arts and renovation of the former Svea schoolhouse, a 100-year-old building where nothing is square. Creativity is a GREAT thing.
