| About Studio Hop | Laurel graduated
from Apple Valley High School with an emphasis on art. Mediums in her school's
art department included not just drawing and painting, but pottery, weaving,
metal casting, copper enameling and more. She earned a BS in Graphic Design
at St. Cloud State University, resulting in various graphic design/art
positions including several years in the art department at the West Central
Tribune. Laurel currently is the owner of Bead Jam bead shop on Main Street
in New London. Bead Jam is a fun, ecclectic studio full of not only beading
supply for all experience levels, but also a source for creative jewelry,
including Handcrafted by Laurel items. When not creating jewelry in her
studio space, Laurel spends her time with husband Jamie, who is also an
artist, and their son, Phillip. |
